So much of life just happens around us. Unless we consciously pause, reflect and consider what we give ourselves to we will often miss the experiences that refresh and restore our soul. Creating, I believe, is part of who we are as humans, yet so often it is forgotten, left to someone else or even something else. Art is just one way to create but it is a way that requires something from us: to slow down, immerse ourselves in the moment and observe. We are then ready to respond and create. That response is highly personal, does not require perfection or to be a completed work, but rather honesty and soul.

I love imparting the knowledge that I have gained, helping others to discover and develop both the skills and the joy of creating. In my workshops and retreats we do not rush but rather slow down to be fully present. Learning to look, draw and paint what is in front of us. Rather than just teach how I paint, I aim to impart skills, techniques and principles to aid your creative journey.
