I'm a traditional illustrator / artist based in West Sussex. My training and background is in design but I have drawn, painted and created things for as long as I can remember. I am currently working mostly in ink and watercolour, with post production done in Photoshop.

I illustrate what I love, what I experience and sometimes what I feel. So much fascinates me but I find the greatest delight in illustrating the world around me. I believe that if we truly look we will find beauty in almost anything, and to express something of that beauty for those that might have missed it is a privilege and joy.  

 

Through visual art we can create conversations, remove barriers and open our lives to others. All of which can be daunting and requires courage, but is an essential and often missing part of what I believe it means to be human.

So why greeting cards, notelets etc?

​

I believe that we all long for connection, and so much of our busy technological world has largely removed the personal aspect of making and maintaining those connections. Slowing down to consider and choose a card or notelet for someone, then to handwrite even the briefest of messages can mean so much. It can open a door to a conversation or relational journey that may have never otherwise been. Any part I can play in fostering and sustaining those rituals of human connection is a delight.
